I found out what a cryptid was in middle school, and over the next several years my interest in the unknown grew exponentially. What was initially only about cryptids grew to include an interest in aliens, supernatural creatures, myths and legends, obscure folktales, strange locations, bizarre events, urban legends, and just about anything else that could be called weird. For most people it’s a fascination or morbid curiosity that goes away after a while. For me though it became my bizarre passion/hyper-fixation. Something that never fails to bring me joy is to discover new spooky things and collecting books to use as references.

Another thing I’ve liked doing since I was a kid was drawing. Before I discovered cryptozoology, I drew a lot of monsters from my imagination. Now I draw monsters and other things I’ve learned about from my books and research. Since there are very few photographs of these creatures, some of which are fake or blurry, and descriptions vary from source to source, I can put my own spin on what I think they look like.

My ultimate goal with this website is to create the greatest reference for the unknown there has ever been. I also post videos at I Am Bookface – YouTube where I share my personal thoughts, opinions, and often terrible jokes, in reference to these strange topics.
