Langsuir/Langsuyar
The Languir is a vampiric creature comes from Malaysian myth. It is formed from a woman who died during childbirth. It then rises from the grave forty days after its death. It takes the form of a beautiful woman with long nails, a mouth filled with razor sharp teeth on the back of its neck, and black hair reaching its ankles. It feeds on the blood of children, but may consume the blood and meat of adults and livestock if children are unavailable. Most often, they hunt alone, but they also have been known to hunt in small groups. Placing glass beads in the mouth of a corpse prevents it from using its voice to lure in victims, should it become a Langsuir. You could prevent a corpse from moving should it turn into a Langsuir by piercing their hands with needles and placing eggs under their armpits. If a Langsuir does rise, they can be cured from their monstrous state by cutting its hair and stuffing that hair in the mouth on its neck, and trimming their nails all the way down. After this, it loses its power and desire to consume blood, but this would be undone if the former Langsuir experienced any intense emotion.
