    The Wampus Cat is a mysterious feline creature from the myths of the Cherokee. Sightings of this creature are from the Appalachian Mountains commonly West Virginia, Virginia, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Kentucky, and Tennessee. Its name is sometimes thought to come from the term “cattywampus” since it means “not quite right” and it is known as the Ewah by the Cherokee.     Squonk

    The Squonk is a sad creature from Lumberjack Folklore. They can be found most commonly in Pennsylvania. They have loose, wrinkly skin covered in moles and warts. They only travel at dusk and at night, and they constantly cry because of their ugly appearance. They can be found if hunters follow the paths left by their tears.     Polaski Aliens

    The Polaski Aliens were strange alien beings sighted in Greensburg Pennsylvania in 1973. They were seen by a farmer who sighted a bright red ufo hovering over his field. He went to investigate with his two children, when the light flew low and they got out of their car. The UFO then flew towards them and it was noted to have sounded like a lawnmower. While the witnesses were watching the UFO, one of the children saw two bear-like, seven foot tall creatures with dark hair and yellowish green eyes standing behind a nearby fence.     Goblin Scarecrow

    The Goblin Scarecrow is an urban legend from Pennsylvania. His story started in the mid 1950’s. It is said to be a grinning jack-o-lantern in ragged clothes that can be found in rural areas and on farms. It speaks as it moves. It screams and chases people while trying to bite them. Its body is made up of thousands of insects instead of straw. It was shot once and bled beetles and worms instead of blood. One report said it had chased someone with a scythe.
