    The Varcolac is a form of wolf monster from Romanian myth. Some believe the Varcolac is a Christian reinvention of Fenrir. They sometimes take the form of demons who possess the corpses of unbaptized children. They can be created when someone commits suicide, or they can simply become a Varcolac from a hereditary curse. Some however believe God sends the Varcolaci to consume the moon to lead men to repent. When they rise from the grave they have pale, dry skin.     O Toyo/Nabeshima/The Vampire Cat

    O Toyo is a figure from a Japanese folktale. This story has inspired many stories, songs, and poems. She was a favored courtesan to a prince named Hizen, of the Nabéshima Family. The prince was spending time with her but didn’t notice they were being followed by a massive cat. The cat form resembles a typical cat with two tails or a form like a leopard. These creatures drain blood from victims, and vitality through sex. O Toyo returned to her room and later woke up to see the cat crouched in the corner.     Vampire Vine/Devil’s Snare

    The Vampire Vine is a cryptid plant from Nicaragua. According to locals they are also referred to as Devil’s Snare. They were encountered by a naturalist named Dunstan who was walking with his dog. The dog was suddenly wrapped up in vines causing it pain. Dunstan hacked away the vines and freed his dog. As he pulled loose the vines, they wrapped around his arms and gripped it strong enough to leave blisters. The vines were thin rope-like tissue similar to roots or overlapping stems like a weeping willow. They were nearly black in color and covered in a foul-smelling viscous substance.
