Zhiguli Alien Encounter
The Zhiguli Alien Encounter occurred near the Russian River Volga in the Zhiguli Mountains. The witness was a man named Victor Ageyev, who was a member of a special prospecting party. With a group of geologists, he camped outside of a village called Shiryayevskiye to study the natural tunnels. During one expedition into these caves, there was a cave-in, and all geologists, aside from the witness, were able to crawl out. The team searched for him for two days before deciding he was dead. Three days after this, however, he appeared safe and alive from a different mountain. When the cave-in occurred, he went down a narrow tunnel that no one had investigated. He wandered for hours until he entered a large hall that had corners filled with ice that emitted a faint blue light. The witness remembers his mind being altered, and he felt no fear or hunger. He entered a smaller hall with thousands of large blocks of ice near the walls. Inside each ice block was a humanoid creature that he struggled to describe. They had large hairless heads, huge bulging eyes, massive bulbs on the forehead, and small hands with three clawed fingers, one opposite the other two. Overall, they resembled bipedal dinosaurs with large, developed brains and massive bodies that were bluish-green and scaly. He continued walking along the corridor with the ice blocks and crevices getting bigger the further he went. He found several crystals with cracks on the inner side that made him feel inexplicably sad near them. Eventually, he reached a fork; on the left was more of the same, and on the right were rows of similar creatures that lacked the bulbous protrusions on their foreheads. He chose to go down the right path and blacked out shortly after. Next, he remembered arriving somewhere where the chamber broadened. In the center of this new cavern, he saw rays of sunlight. When he walked through these rays, he felt something hit his forehead, causing him to black out again. He later awoke at the top of Mount Popeva, 10 km away from Shiryayevo. As he recovered from his confusion, he realized there was a creature near him resembling a large dog. Its body was covered in hair, and it had pointed dog-like ears and a dog-like face. He was too tired to note anything more about this creature. He told his leader what happened and was advised to keep it secret, only writing it all down when he was on his deathbed years later.
